VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Partners in Offering Help & Hope
The center was founded by individuals and local churches who partnered together to provide a compassionate response and tangible help to women and men in our local community who are facing an unsupported pregnancy. These folks volunteered their time to offer help and hope to others. That commitment remains today. Another commitment for The LPC is our commitment to be Christ-centered individuals. All personnel and volunteers who serve at the center adhere to our Statement of Faith and Statement of Principle.

We ask all volunteers to attend our More than Mud seminar.
Volunteer Roles
Here are some of the vital roles where you might partner with The LPC in serving others.
Care Coach
LPC Care Coaches provide peer counseling and educational support to women and men who are wrestling with a pregnancy decision. This is a primary way to serve at the center. Care Coaches serve one day a week for two – four hours. The LPC provides robust counseling training and continuing education for folks serving in this role. If you are a man, we would love to talk to you about this role.
Medical Care Team
Nurses partner with Care Coaches in providing pregnancy confirmation care in our clinic. Nurses conduct pregnancy testing, provide general pregnancy health education, and pregnancy confirmation ultrasound exams (additional training). Members of the medical team serve one day a week for two – four hours.
Receptionist & Administrative Support
A friendly voice over the phone and a welcoming face at the door make all the difference when someone is struggling with shame or fear. LPC receptionist are able to be the bridge to those who are initially reaching out for help. Receptionists also provide vital support by assisting with data entry and other computer-related tasks. Receptionists typically serve one day a week for roughly four hours.
Class Facilitators
Parenting 101 provides a group learning experience for first-time expectant parents. Moms and dads are welcome to participate in this 8 week course. Each week subject matter experts from our local community provide instruction. Class Facilitators are the consistent connection for participants each week. They help facilitate discussion, build relationship with participants, and provide simple devotionals. Ideally, class facilitators are a married couple who can offer their own wisdom and experience to these new parents. Parenting 101 is an 8 week commitment, three times a year. Each class happens once a week for roughly two hours.
Board Member
Maintaining The LPC’s commitment to Christ and our commitment to our mission is because of the guidance, discernment, and direction of the board of directors. Board members have a mature, orthodox Christian faith, and are committed to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are the rudder which allows the center to “keep the main thing, the main thing.” LPC board members are by appointment.
Other Opportunities
Most of our service opportunities require a regular commitment. There are seasons when we need folks who are interested in helping with events and campaigns, and other limited opportunities.
