A Space to Mourn

A memorial service for reproductive loss

Wednesday | May 25 | 7:30PM

The statistics make it clear that reproductive loss is a reality of this world – women and men have experienced or will go through the pain of miscarriage, stillbirths, infertility, and abortion.

We know that:

  • 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage

  • 1 in 8 couples experience problems with infertility

  • 1 in 160 pregnancies end in a stillbirth

  • 1 in 4 will choose to abort (before the age of 45)

And we know what for many, they will not speak about nor process this loss, including men.

At the LPC, we want to provide a space – for both women and men – to acknowledge this loss and provide a space to mourn. Whether intended or not, the loss is real and when it goes unacknowledged, it can lead into a spiral of shame, silence, and darkness. We know that the story does not end in death. We want to shine a light and provide hope for those who are in need of help and healing.

Join us at our memorial service – this is a place for those who have not experienced reproductive loss to stand with those who have. We encourage you to come with friends and family to support those who are mourning.
