What to expect at A Space to Mourn…

This is a dedicated service that provides time for you to mourn any reproductive loss in your life, or you can come and support someone you love in their grief. The service will also include individuals sharing their stories, helpful information about grief, and a pastoral message of encouragement. Please join us at this memorial service of private reflection in a community of hope.

  • 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage
  • 1 in 8 couples experience problems with infertility
  • 1 in 160 pregnancies end in a stillbirth
  • 1 in 4 will choose to abort (before the age of 45)

At the LPC, we want to provide a space – for both women and men – to acknowledge this loss and provide – A Space to Mourn. Whether intended or not, the loss is real, and when it goes unacknowledged, it can lead to a spiral of shame, silence, and darkness. We know that the story does not end in death. There is hope for those who need help and healing. There is resurrection and renewal.
