Sex and Intimacy

It is human to struggle with issues around sex and intimacy.

At the LPC, we believe that evil has used shame as a tool to keep us from discussing sex and intimacy when we as humans need support in these topics regularly. We have seen how shame has been used to drive a wedge between people and God when in reality, there is nothing that is too shameful or inappropriate for God. The simple truth is that there is no action or decision you can make that disqualifies you from God’s love.

We are here to walk alongside you as you process the issues that arise in your relationships related to sex and intimacy, including, but not limited to issues around sexual relationships, intimacy-affecting addictions including sex or pornography, sexual responsibility, infidelity, abuse or harmful behaviors, relationship dynamics, trust, emotional or physical barriers to intimacy, boundary-setting, and good communication. If necessary, a nurse consult can be provided

You can meet with a Care Coach alone or request a Care Coach to support yourself and a partner together. While Care Coaches are not licensed therapists or professional counselors, they are trained to listen and support you emotionally and spiritually as you process these things.

Want us to come speak to your group?

The LPC offers Care Coach-led speaking engagements, including workshops on sex and intimacy. We can lead a workshop for your church, workplace, or group on a Biblical, grace-based response to the issues discussed here. Click here for more information.
